Robot Tightening Workstation

HB Torque engineers complete enclosed robotic fastening workstations - not standalone tightening tools. Each cell combines a six-axis industrial robot, compatible electric nutrunner, custom workholding fixture, safety enclosure and process controls for flexible torque-controlled assembly.

Typical Robot Cell Configuration

  • Six-axis robot for programmable multi-position fastening.
  • Robot-mounted electric nutrunner or tightening spindle.
  • Custom fixture for repeatable part location and clamping.
  • Enclosed aluminum-frame safety guarding with access doors.
  • Touchscreen HMI, status indication and cell controls.
  • Optional screw feeding, inspection and result traceability.

Flexible Multi-Point Fastening

The robot can approach multiple bolt coordinates and orientations within the engineered working envelope. Fastening sequence, robot path, fixture design and tool access are developed around the actual part and required cycle.

Atlas Copco, Desoutter and Other Nutrunner Integration

The workstation can be engineered around customer-supplied or project-selected tightening equipment from Atlas Copco, Desoutter, Cleco, Ingersoll Rand and other industrial brands, subject to technical review. HB Torque supplies the engineered robot cell, tooling, fixture, controls and integration scope defined for the project.

HB Torque is an independent automation integrator and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorized distributor of the third-party brands referenced above. Brand names are used only to describe potential integration compatibility.

Typical Applications

Automotive and EV components, motors, gearboxes, controllers, pumps and other industrial assemblies requiring flexible automated torque-controlled fastening.

Information Required for Quotation

  • Part drawing, dimensions and assembly orientation.
  • Number and coordinates of fastening points.
  • Target torque and tightening-tool model.
  • Required approach angles and robot working envelope.
  • Target cycle time and loading/unloading method.
  • Safety, screw feeding, inspection, controls and traceability requirements.

Price shown is a reference starting configuration. Final pricing depends on the robot, nutrunner, tooling, fixture, safety system and automation scope.
