HB Torque Heavy-Duty Anti-Torsion Torque Reaction Arm
This complete fastening-support system helps position an industrial tightening tool while transferring reaction torque through the rigid arm structure and mounting base instead of leaving the operator to resist it. The featured configuration combines a floor-mounted column, heavy parallel-link arm, vertical adjustment, and an application-specific tool interface.
Typical Industrial Fastening Applications
- Heavy-duty bolting and repetitive tightening stations.
- Automotive chassis, subframe, and machinery assembly.
- Industrial equipment and large-component fastening.
- Production lines requiring supported tool positioning across multiple bolt locations.
How the Reaction Arm Supports Tightening
The supported nutrunner is guided to the required bolt position while the arm structure carries reaction torque back to the mounting base. The correct arm, column, joints, tool clamp, and mounting arrangement must therefore be selected around the real tool, maximum torque, fastening direction, working envelope, and station structure.
Complete System Scope
- Rigid floor column or application-specific mounting structure.
- Heavy articulated parallel-link reaction arm.
- Vertical adjustment for different fastening heights.
- Tool support and custom interface for the selected nutrunner.
- Working envelope configured around the bolt-position layout.
Tool Interface and Station Engineering
This product is an engineered support system, not a universal bracket. HB Torque reviews the tightening-tool body, handle and output geometry, cable or hose routing, tool weight, torque range, bolt access, operator approach, and station clearance before defining the interface.
Information Needed for Selection
- Tightening-tool manufacturer, model, drawing, and weight.
- Target and maximum tightening torque.
- Bolt coordinates, fastening direction, and number of positions.
- Required horizontal reach and vertical working range.
- Mounting location, base structure, and surrounding clearances.
- Workstation photos or layout drawings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the product include the tightening tool?
The reaction-arm system is engineered around the selected or customer-supplied tightening tool. Tool supply and integration scope should be confirmed during quotation.
Can the tool interface be customized?
Yes. The clamp and interface are configured around the actual tool geometry, weight, output direction, services, and fastening positions.
Can one arm cover multiple bolt positions?
That depends on the bolt-coordinate layout, required reach, vertical working area, obstructions, and tool orientation. Supply the station layout so the working envelope can be evaluated.
