PRA Series Pneumatic Balance Joint Torque Reaction Arm
The GAMITT PRA Series is a floor-mounted pneumatic balance joint reaction arm for industrial powered fastening. It supports the tool and transfers tightening reaction torque into the arm and mounting structure, helping reduce operator strain during repetitive assembly.
PRA Series Specifications
| Model | Load range | Vertical stroke | Working radius | Maximum torque |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PRA-600 | 0-50 kg | 0-1600 mm | 1000-3000 mm | 600 Nm |
| PRA-1000 | 0-50 kg | 0-1600 mm | 1000-3000 mm | 1000 Nm |
| PRA-2000 | 0-50 kg | 0-1600 mm | 1000-3000 mm | 2000 Nm |
Movement and Tool Support
- Articulated manual-traction design provides a large working envelope around the fastening station.
- Pneumatic balancing supports tools weighing up to 50 kg within the configured operating range.
- Multiple rotary joints provide flexible access to different bolt positions.
- The tool-hanging module is engineered to match the actual electric or pneumatic nutrunner geometry.
Mounting Configurations
- PRA: standard floor-mounted configuration.
- MPRA: mobile-base configuration for stations requiring relocation.
- SPRA: overhead-track configuration for expanded line coverage.
- Custom: mounting base, track and tool interface can be designed around the workstation.
Optional Position and Process Control
Reaction arms can be configured with encoders for tightening-position verification and alarms. Project-specific options can include barcode or QR-code scanning, communication with compatible intelligent tightening tools, industrial-computer display and storage, and MES data upload.
Typical Applications
Automotive component assembly, gearbox and axle fastening, heavy equipment production, structural bolting and other repeatable high-torque operations using powered nutrunners.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which PRA model should I choose?
Select the capacity above the application's maximum tightening torque: PRA-600 up to 600 Nm, PRA-1000 up to 1000 Nm, or PRA-2000 up to 2000 Nm. Final selection also depends on tool weight, reach, bolt locations and mounting structure.
Is the tightening tool included?
The PRA system is engineered to support a compatible customer-specified powered tightening tool. Confirm the tool brand, model and output geometry so the correct hanging interface can be designed.
Can the arm verify bolt positions?
Yes. An encoder-equipped configuration can be engineered for position verification, tightening-sequence control, alarms and production-data integration.
Can this system be supplied on a mobile base or overhead rail?
Yes. MPRA mobile-base and SPRA overhead-track arrangements are available as engineered configurations.
